ABOUT US
The Doongara Working Dogs facility was founded after observing there was a need for a set up to accommodate Sheepdogs and their trainers.
This meant there was a need to have a specific Sheep dog training facility where handlers and their dogs, can be provided with the necessary tools and training so they can learn to work as a team to handle livestock in a low stress manner.
Here at Doongara Working Dogs we aim to help you achieve whatever goal you are seeking with your dogs.
OUR FACILITIES
We have 30 Acres for utilisation from Round Yards for Beginners to Large open paddocks for experienced dogs and handlers.
We have the following to suit your requirements:
• Round Yard
• Full Yard Course
• 3 Sheep Trial Course
• Large Open Paddocks for Casting
We have courses for the beginner to an advanced handler. We cater to your specifics needs from a weekend out with your dog, to using our facility to fine-tune your trial or farm dog.
It is all about you and what you want to achieve with your dog and how we help you do this! Located ONLY 30 Minutes, West from Melbourne CBD in Rockbank
Private Lessons:
We provide one on one lessons tailored to suit what you want to work on with your dog.
Board and train:
We can board and train your dog. This service is provided so we can assist you with socialisation and training of your dog.
Group Lessons:
Learn in a fun and social environment for your dog to use its natural herding instinct and learn how to work sheep. Whilst focused on the individual needs of you and your dog.
Puppy Classes :
Early Education for your puppy to learn the basics to become a well-adjusted and calm dog. Our Puppy Classes are a fun and informative dog training experience that will allow your puppy to learn in a positive environment.
We specialise in Working Dog breeds.
Started dogs & Pups:
Are you looking for a well-bred pup or a young dog ready to train and work? We provide ongoing support with all pups and dogs bought from us.
